Catching Up with Us

So I haven't blogged for awhile. It's been almost 6 months now. I just haven't really felt like it or been up to the task. A lot has been going on with us since December. We had our 4 year anniversary and all I can remember doing for that is going and seeing The Hobbit. I do remember that just a few days later on
Dec. 15th I took a pregnancy test and it said...
You are Pregnant!
(p.s. get the dollar tree pregnancy tests they work great and of course they are only a dollar)
I made a little note for Matt to wake up to. He wasn't way way surprised since this was planned and I had actually taken a test a few days earlier that had 2 lines, but it was super super faint. Anyways, we were both very excited!
And then Christmas morning came with a lovely present called morning sickness. :) Don't get me wrong we were still actually really excited and grateful to be having a baby, it just turned a little bitter sweet is all.
 SO MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I spent Christmas lying on the couch trying not to die. I was pretty sick there for about 10 days before I was able to get on some medication. I took zofran which really helped me a lot, but not completely. I was able to feel decent during the morning while I was at work and as soon as I would get home I would lose it. I feel really blessed that I was able to keep my job, although it was tough at times. There were a few days I would get done with work and just start bawling as I walked out to my car and drove home. Anyhow, I don't want to complain too much. Let's just say it was hard and I am so glad I am feeling better now. Also I am so thankful for Matt dealing with my crazy emotions. It was pretty depressing at times and I am so glad he was there for me and let me cry when I needed to.

January - March
These months are kind of a long blur for me. Not much happened besides surviving, getting a stomach bug or 2 (on top of morning sickness), and slowly feeling better. Matt was working really hard during these months though.
He started his student teaching at Bonneville High School.
He did really well and got great reviews!
Oh, I also got called to be in the Young Women's Presidency. I miss my Sunbeams, but I really love the girls in our ward! It's been a lot of fun!

Uncle Matt and Aunt Kate

About a month ago we watched our nephews and niece.
Matt and Luke made snowmen and did a little sledding.
Claire got her nails painted.
And Spencer slept.
We all watched Monsters University later and just played around.
We had a fun day!

Now here are the lopsided snowmen and the men who made them!

Happy Happy Birthday!

Matt's Birthday was on the 1st of November. He got brand new skiis!!! He picked them out a few weeks before. He probably won't be able to use them much, because he spent all of his birthday and Christmas money on them, but I'm sure he will get to try them out a time or two this year.
We went Frolfing on his birthday, we got yummy pizza man pizza, and I made him his traditional chocolate bavarian cake. He is now 28 years old!  He also got a Dr. Seuss book The Sneetches and The Land Before Time movie (the first one).
Flash is now 3 years old! I wrapped up a bunch of fruits and veggies, but she had more fun with the tissue wrapping. She is cute and we love having her around.
My birthday was on the 20th of November. We went and saw Ender's Game on my birthday and we yet again got pizza man pizza! It really is the best! I also got a hammock, a ninja turtle back pack, paints, a book, a scarf, and a few other little things. We also went to see Catching Fire that weekend for my birthday as well. Both movies were really really good! I was excited to see them because I had read both the books. Oh, and I am 26 years old now. :)

Halloween and Fall Time

We got a HUGE pumpkin this year to carve. We made a chubby ghost.

I put Flash inside the pumpkin. I don't think she liked it.

I was Astrid from How To Train Your Dragon and Flash was Toothless the DRAGON. Matt was supposed to be Hiccup, but that didn't really happen. I had a lot of fun putting my costume together. I made just about everything. Matt helped me make the Giant Ax though.

I got to wear my costume to our ward party and to school! It was fun confusing the little kids with my blonde wig. On Halloween night we hung out with the Bairds. We ate some candy and played nintendo 64.

October Fiesta

We had our annual October Feast at the Cabin this year. We had Mexican food this year. It was DELICIOUS! We also had a pinata. The Leaves had changed a bit more by this time as well. BEAUTIFUL! It was a lot of fun and we got the whole group there this time.

Our camera was full so we weren't able to get a ton of picture, but here are some of them.

It's Autumn Time. It's Autumn Time. The SNOW is falling down?

We went to the Cabin to see the beautiful changing leaves and have a relaxing weekend. Besides finding some changing leaves we also found SNOW!

We made our first snowman of the year!
He didn't last very long.

We went on a very muddy little hike.

While walking on our hike we saw a MOOSE! We actually saw 3. We scared the Mom moose and then she ran off and so did the teenage moose, but the big Daddy moose stayed a moment and huffed at as. It was a little scary. He was a little too close for comfort. We didn't get a great picture of him, but you can kind of see him here.
We also did a little reading, a little napping, and a little relaxing by the fire.

Here are a few late Summer photos of Flash.

She is a cutie pie!
