**SUMMER**

Bushnell Family Reunion in CALIFORNIA

We began our summer with a vacation to Carlsbad, CA. We car pooled with the Atwoods (my sister and her family). It was a fun and interesting ride as you can probably tell from the picture. Luke was basically attached to Matt. They were always holding hands and playing together. It was cute! And Claire was my little buddy.

We stayed in a house just across the street from the beach! What's better than family and the beach??

We played in the sand. 

We boogie boarded. 

We looked for treasure. 

We got some reading done. 

We enjoyed being together!

While we were there we also got to go to the Mormon Battalion. We walked around Old Town and got some Mexican food. We played angry birds on my brothers i-pad. We had a girls night out. The boys had a boys night out. We watched a movie. We played games. We went on evening walks on the beach. We also went to San Diego's Safari park.

 I got to feed Lorikeets! I walked into this fence in area with a little cup of  nectar and they just swarmed. I actually dropped the first cup because the first bird startled me. It was really cool. At one point I had 3 birds on me and one was on my head for a little bit.

California was a great start to our Summer!
