March 2016
Autumn started having trouble breathing the morning of Feb. 28th. We ended up taking her to the ER that afternoon. They suctioned her, did 2 breathing treatments, and gave her a steroid. She started doing a little better, but was still working really hard to breath. They decided to admit her to the hospital to keep an eye on her. Her oxygen levels were a bit low so they gave her oxygen at night. She was doing so much better by Tuesday morning. She took a good nap without any need of oxygen so they let us come home that afternoon. We found out that she had 3 different viral infections at the same time. They just all hit her at once making it difficult to breathe. I am so happy that everything turned out fine and we only had to stay in the hospital for a short time. I think this was our first real scare as parents since the day she was born. It was really rough on my heart to see her suffering and not be able to make it better, but I am thankful the doctors and nurses that were able to do what I could not.
Autumn turned 18 Months old while were at the hospital - March 1st.
They had a fun wagon that we could pull her around in when she got restless.
After we went home she recovered quite quickly.
She had a yucky cough for about a week, but she continued to breathe well.
She started acting like her normal self just a day later. She was being silly and wearing her swim bottoms on her head and dancing all around. :)
Here's a few pictures I took of Autumn throughout the month.
Happy St. Patty's Day and Pig Tails!
We also enjoyed actual March Madness. We filled out our brackets and had fun rooting for the teams we chose and for all underdogs to win. We filled out a bracket for Autumn too by flipping a coin. She had Weber State winning it all - that would have been awesome!
